Dearbhla joined the IOMBN in October 2016 and became Vice Chair in 2018/19 and Chair in March 2019. Having worked in the construction industry for 8 years as a Quantity Surveyor she decided to complete an MBA through Oxford Brooke’s University and specialised in Marketing allowing her to change industries to Egaming. She is now Brand Manager at Microgaming. Other interests include travelling, outdoor sports and taking part in charity events with Team IOMBN.
Alex Wilson joined the Committee in October 2016 and recently assumed the Head of Marketing role, applying 9 years industry experience in brand management, communications, customer engagement and professional event management. Alex works within Bold Marketing Consultancy and is well known for project management of Islexpo under the DfE and for her work at Crossroads Care. Alex is ACIM qualified and runs a monthly coffee meet for CIM IOM alumni alongside IOMBN
Carrie Allen-Snell joined the IOMBN in March 2019 following relocating to the Island of Man and attending a number of their events. Carrie is the marketing manager at Cains Advocates and has over eight years’ marketing experience working within one of the North West’s leading communications agencies and specialises in marketing strategy, digital marketing, PR and event management. In her spare time she can often be found enjoying the outdoors the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Annie joined the Business Network in 2018. Her role within the Business Network includes marketing and assisting with the organisation of the various events. Annie works in the Communications team at the Isle of Man Government and works across a number of departments to help shape Government’s relationship with the public and media. In her spare time Annie enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Tara joined the Committee in September 2016 after having gained a lot from attending the IOMBN's events for over a year. Tara qualified as an Advocate in December 2013 and is a Senior Associate at Cains Advocates Limited where she advises on a wide range of corporate and commercial litigation matters in the Isle of Man Courts. In her spare time, Tara enjoys dancing, skiing and generally keeping fit and more importantly spending time with friends and family.
Clare joined the IOMBN in 2014 and is currently Treasurer. Clare is a Senior Tax Manager at KPMG LLC specializing in UK and IOM corporate tax and is both a chartered accountant and a chartered tax advisor. In her spare time she can often be found enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Rachel joined the IOMBN in 2020 and has taken on the role of Membership Officer. She began working as a trainee accountant at PwC in the Isle of Man after moving back from University, but has since moved to the Department for Enterprise within the Isle of Man Government which is where she became more involved with IOMBN. After performing the role of Marketing Executive for DfE, Rachel is now a Business Development Manager within Business Isle of Man, an Executive Agency for the Department, looking after some of the domestic sectors.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys holidaying, socialising, playing netball and football.
Cameron has been part of the IOMBN for a number of years and has seen it grow to its current position and membership. Cameron is a past Chairman and currently works at Sovereign.
Alex joined the IOMBN Committee in August 2019. Alex is an Investment Manager with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) holding the CISI Diploma in Investment Advice (Securities) (IAD). In his spare time Alex has enjoyed performing in numerous theatrical productions at the Gaiety Theatre and Villa Marina with the Islands’ dramatic societies.
Katie joined the IOMBN in 2015 and took on the role of the Head of Communications before becoming Vice Chair in 2017, Chairman in 2018 and President in 2019.
After gaining 10 years industry experience in marketing and management roles in the software development, e-gaming and early stage investment industries Katie founded Petra Consulting in 2019. Katie now works on a variety of corporate and start-up related projects.
Katie is a board member of the Digital Isle of Man Executive Agency and enjoys travelling and playing hockey for Castletown Hockey Club.
Chris became a member of the IOMBN committee after gaining a lot from attending their events over the past year. He is a Qualified Accountant at Equiom Group focused predominantly on Financial Planning and Analysis working with the senior leadership team to provide a greater insight to financial performance.
Tom Wilson was educated on the Island before going to University in Leeds, studying a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon completion Tom moved back to the Island finding work in Aeronautical engineering spending 5 years designing planes. After a career change Tom is now a Financial Adviser for MAC Financial specialising in pensions and investments. He can be spotted in most of the local offices providing advice throughout the year.
Chris is a past Chairman and President and has been involved in a variety of capacities including membership and IT. After leaving the armed forces in the late nineties he returned to the Island and started work within the financial services industry, initially within life assurance administration where he qualified as a financial advisor before moving into IT. Chris is currently Head of IT Development at Hansard Global Plc. He successfully completed the IoD Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction last year.
Michael is Director of Quantum Ventures Limited. He has returned to the Island after a long absence in the U.K. and is delighted to be back home and integrating with the vibrant business community on the Island. Apart from the IOMBN, his major interest (in consultation and co-operation with the D.E.D.) is using the contacts he has built up to encourage businesses to start up in or re-locate to the Island. He believes that the outward looking and “can do” attitude he has encountered generally bodes well for the Island’s future prosperity and international profile.
